Refrigerator Organization

Get an insta-worthy refrigerator by adding a few containers and following these five simple hacks!

Organizing your fridge may seem like a menial job, but it is a huge time and money saver.

I can't tell you how many times I purchased something in the past that I already had because my fridge was so disorganized I couldn't see everything in it.

Grocery shopping and mealtime become more productive and you save a lot of time if you know exactly what's inside your refrigerator.

Here are some of the satisfying before and after pictures along with my simple hacks on what I did to achieve this.

Hack 1: The first thing is to prioritize foods that you reach for the most. Make sure they are visible and easy to reach. For example, organize by size, tall bottles in the back and short ones in front.

Hack 2: Make your fridge work for your family. My kids are almost two and five and they snack all day long. I had to make sure that I place their food and snack where they can reach it. This is great because they don't have to ask for help or create a mess.

Hack 3: Don't waste time trying to organize things that are hard to figure out. Condiments such as butters, soft cheeses etc. will be better stored in fridge door.

Hack 4: Use zip locks to bag your wet vegetables and fruit so they do not leak to your containers. This will also help you keep some of your food fresh for longer.

Hack 5: Don't make the mistake of putting freshly bought groceries in the front, when you buy something new like a fresh gallon of milk be sure to rotate the older items to the front so that they can be used before the expiration date.
